I climb stairs at home and office but I never realized that it is also a medium of exercise. Thanks for the post.

I never really realized it like that before. I guess thats why when I am at work, I am most productive and happy right after I get in and right after lunch. I have to walk up two flights of stairs to get in (and the same to leave obviously) and for lunch I usually walk to a taco truck that takes about 5 minutes of walking (which I guess cancels out the exercise, but its so good). So that means when I get food for lunch I walk up and down 2 flights of stairs and walk for 10 minutes. Maybe I can find a way to extend this ....

Thanks Tom.

That's because I like being fit but I don't particularly like getting fit! (or at least I don't like all the time that it can use up when I can think of so many more interesting things to do)

I don't write this blog from the point of view of someone who loves all things fitness. I have to use every trick in the book to motivate myself.

I like finding out new ways to do that and I hope some of my tricks will help those who are trying to keep themselves healthy too but who are not fanatical about going to the gym.

Don't get me wrong - I quite enjoy the activities I choose to do but I would still rather lie on the sofa with a good book if that kept me feeling 100%. It's a shame that it doesn't :)

I always like how you suggest doing seemingly small amounts of exercise to improve health. Every little bit matters, and even if you only can do 10 minutes at a time, it is still going to be helpful in the long-term.
