Workout Music Makes Exercising More Fun
Running is my favorite workout. I like running outside and feeling the sun warming up my face. If it’s a rainy day, there are other indoor exercises and the treadmill. What makes exercise more fun though is workout music.
My playlist for exercise music varies all the time. If I was going on a slow jog, I’d pick soothing music that would make me more relaxed, while enjoying the fresh air and the view around me. If I want to go a little rough and beat myself up with my workout, I’d go for electronic or punk rock music. Gives me the rush and keeps me feeling all pumped up in losing weight. If I really want to enjoy my workout and keep myself sweating, I love putting on dance music. This keeps my feet moving and I end up shaking my head and hands along with it.
We don’t have to stick to just one playlist or one genre of music while doing our workout, we can also put it in line with our moods. I’ve read blogs about workout music and it’s interesting how different people choose them. Some like listening to a specific artist, some like listening to a specific genre and then there are some like me, who can go from slow to really fast music.
It doesn’t stop with listening to music and your favorite songs though. Some prefer to listen to audio books instead while running or walking. You can also have a TV set in front of your treadmill and do your exercise in time with your favorite series. You won’t notice time passing and you’re basically multi-tasking. It’s like getting two things done in one sitting!
We all want to be healthy. We all want to look good and be fit. There are a lot of exercise and diet information passed around. Choose whatever works for you best. One you’re sure you can stick with. Weight loss advice is given everywhere, from people at home, to work, to the gym, and to your circle of friends. We can listen to all of them, and while we’re at it, won’t hurt if we listen to music we like on our iPods and have fun while keeping healthy and fit.

Five Reasons Why The Electric Running Machine Is Best
Starting out as a runner can be quite daunting, especially if you run by yourself in the outdoors. However, it is sometimes a good idea to get your mind and body ready for outdoors running by beginning a fitness program on a treadmill running machine first. This allows you to build up some general fitness, so that when you progress to the outside, you will not be stopping all the time to catch your breath.
There are two categories of treadmill: the manual and the motorized. There are several very good reasons to go for a motorized, electric running machine. Here are five to start off with.
1. On the whole, electric treadmills tend to be stronger than their manual counterparts. If you take a test run on both types, the motorized ones feel sturdier. Of course this depends on what the price tag says, and most manual treadmills are designed to be budget models; so they may be smaller, flimsier and often not worth the money.
2. With a manual treadmill, you have to push the belt along with your feet and this is a fairly important disadvantage, because it can interfere with your natural running stride. Electric running machines, of course, do not suffer from this drawback. You just push the “Go” button and start running.
3. Electric treadmills are more controlled. You set the speed and incline and begin working on whichever area of fitness you decide, whether it is fat-burning or cardiovascular. On a manual treadmill, you are just trudging along monotonously, and are unlikely to make the kind of progress with your fitness that you would like. After all, as you get tired on a manual machine, you will naturally slow it down; on an electric, the speed with remain constant and force you to go the extra mile – sometimes quite literally!
4. If you want to do some hill-running practice on a manual treadmill, you have to stop, dismount, change the incline of the deck (if your manual equipment has a variable inclination feature) and then get back on. With an electric running machine, you can program it in at the beginning, and include several different inclinations and then start running. At the prescribed time, the deck will automatically get steeper to enhance your workouts, without you having to stop running to change the settings yourself.
5. Many good electric treadmills will have preset programs so you don’t always have to set up a routine. You can go on a straightforward run, or do a cardio routine, or a cross-country run with lots of different sized “hills”. This adds the variety to your training that will prevent you from getting bored with running and decide to quit.
So those are five reasons why the electric running machine is best. If you don’t believe me, go to your local gym and try out both types for yourself!
