The weather is getting warmer and lots of guys are contemplating new golf clubs in order to improve their golf game this season. However, the club is only as good as the person swings who it and if you have a wonky swing, then even the best club in the world won’t help you keep it out of the rough and hazards.
And what sort of things would contribute to a bad swing? Back and neck pain for starters.
The golf swing is based on learning repetitive motion. No matter what club you swing, you use pretty much the same mechanics. Grinding it out all day on a golf course can have a bad effect on your golf game if you have already suffered some type of injury to your back. A case in point: the recent withdrawal of Tiger Woods from competition after mounting a comeback in his career after his cheating scandal due to a bulging disc in his neck.
You can say what you will about the pressure and distractions that was surrounding Tiger Woods that could have impacted his golf game but the fact is, he placed fourth at the Masters. But grinding it out in subsequent tournaments with neck and back pain was even too much for the former golfing great and he had all the motivation he needed to get back on top and to prove the doubters wrong.
For those of us whose golf aspirations are a lot more humble, let this be a reminder that even professional athletes who are at the peak physical condition can crumble due to back pain. Therefore, to protect yourself from back pain that could be further aggravated by golfing, do yourself a favor and buy a mens girdle. Back support underwear could be the difference maker in this golf season and even if it doesn’t help you shave a few strokes in your golf game, at least it can help save your back.
